trends and search results vary?

For the heck of it, I looked for trends between gmail and hotmail on google trends. Contrary to my assumptions, the google search did not even show hotmail as one of the match.

Inflation

Surprising results. I searched for "inflation" on google trends. The curve is exactly similar every year. We worry about inflation from Jan-July, then we loose interest in inflation. By the time it is the end of the year (thanksgiving, christmas); we have sharp decline in our worries about inflation. And immediately after that it spikes up with new year resolutions.

Amazing, how it can be so similar every year. Ofcourse, your opinion is as good as mine.
